Full yogic breathing
A very simple way to help you relax, re-energise yourself and boost your brain power! You can do this breathing technique anywhere.
Sit comfortably and erect, you can support your back against a wall or sit on a chair, place hands on your knees palms down. Inhaling and exhaling through the nose, without forcing the breath. The breathing is done in four parts and there are four distinct sounds for each part:
- Inhale
- Hold the inhale
- Exhale (twice the length of the inhale)
- Hold the exhale
The audio file (updated) lasts just over four minutes and it’s in two parts. The second part starts after the gong is heard and the breathing becomes a little longer. You can practice it a couple of times a day. You should avoid doing the breathing exercise after eating. Please wear loose clothing when doing the breathing exercise.
Apologies the link for the last two audio files was incorrect – the correct link is now being used.
